We specialize in creating sustainable, beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor spaces using native plants. Our approach to native landscaping ensures your yard enhances your home's aesthetic appeal and supports local biodiversity. No matter what type of existing landscape elements you have in place, we'll work with them to create a cohesive and harmonious environment. From Land Evaluations to landscape installations and ongoing site maintenance, we will collaborate closely with you every step of the way. We'll listen to your vision, offer expert guidance, and bring to life a sustainable landscape that will thrive for years to come.
OUR PROCESS
Land Evaluation
The first step is to schedule a Land Evaluation. We will meet with you in your landscape to discuss your goals, vision, and requirements. This service is FREE for property owners in the Twin Cities Metro. The standard consulting rate of $75 per hour applies for locations 20 or more miles from downtown Minneapolis. This fee is applied as a credit to your invoice if you sign a landscape contract with us.
Landscape Proposal & Contract
After your Land Evaluation, we will send you a native landscape proposal and contract to review. Each landscape contract requires a nonrefundable 50% deposit for the plant materials. Once the deposit is received we will initiate the plant order and provide a tentative schedule for your landscape installation. All plants are thoughtfully chosen and laid out according to how they will interact with and support one another over time as your native yard evolves.
Landscape Installation
We will deliver your plants and install your new native landscape. Site management services are also available to protect your investment and ensure the native garden's success, especially in the first year or two when weed control and design-tweaking are often necessary.
First Year Consultations
As part of your investment in native landscaping, and our commitment to your success, you may schedule 2 First Year Consultations during your garden’s first year. As we walk the landscape together, we will help you properly identify weeds, understand watering or mulching as well as other management practices like cutting down the garden in spring and thinning seedlings. This early attention to the garden will result in significant payoffs as soon as the second year.
NATIVE LANDSCAPE COSTS
Our fees vary depending on the size of your landscape, scope, and estimated time. Generally, projects start around $1,000 for an approximately 250-square-foot Native Landscape. The main cost that makes up your total fee will be plant and seed material and installation labor.
LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT ADD-ONS
Although Native Landscapes tend to need far less maintenance, some care and attention are often required, specifically in the first years, to ensure the garden’s success. After your Native Landscapes installation, you may hire us to manage weeds, remove unwanted seedlings, maintain the design aesthetic, and update elements. Please contact us as needed or set up a monthly or annual plan tailored to your landscape. Costs are dependent on frequency and scope.
